Eric Abraham caught this 54 lb. - 10 oz. Flathead on the Mississippi river. "It was more of a war than a fight. It was peeling line pretty good a couple times. We were fishing over 20 f.o.w. so you could imagine the runs it would make to bottom when it would get close. It almost felt like it was going to pull me in at times. There was lots of wood around and under us too so I had to keep it out of the snag also. It was caught on a 5" bullhead in about 15 f.o.w. by a snag we couldn't see but knew it was there. I was using a 7' MH Berkely Big Game rod with a Abu Garcia 6000 with 80# braid."

About the Editor/Webmaster: Bill Harwick I've been an avid angler ever since my dad used to take my brother and I, fishing at Lake Zumbro when we were 5 & 6 years old respectively. It seems we took a vacation to some Minnesota Lake every summer. I've passed that tradition on to my own family.
