Walleye Length to Weight Conversion Table


Fish are to be measured with their mouth closed and touching the “zero” reading on the ruler, and then pinch the tail to obtain the longest reading.

The standard formula to convert a walleye’s length to its weight is
(length x length x length) / 2700 = weight

Example: Walleyes caught that are at least 15”, but less than 15 ¼”, have an average length of 15 1/8” (15.125”). According to the above formula a 15.125” walleye would have an average weight of 1.28 lbs.
