Foster Arend Lake

About the Fishery

Foster Arend Lake was a former gravel Pit that has become an 18 acre lake with a public beach and a fishing pier that is run by the Rochester Park Dept. The Lake is regularly stocked with adult trout from the Minnesota DNR. A fair to good population of various species is present in the system. Largemouth bass are well represented and reproduction appears adequate. Crappies and bluegill are of a borderline size, which may or may not be acceptable to anglers. Special regulations are in force for trout, in which there is a continuous season with a possession limit of 3 with only one over 16" allowed. A Minnesota trout stamp is required for ages 16 to 64 to possess trout.

Location:

Google Satellite Map

From the corner of 37th St NE and East River Road NE, go north on East River Road about 1/4 mile and you will see the sign for the park on the left.

Latest Report:

Jan. 22nd 2007:  Trout & Panfish are being caught through the ice.  Stay away from the beach area, underwater springs leave the ice thin in  this area.
